  3. 21 years old. I'm in Sweeny, Tx! South of Houston! Near the gulf! I'm awaiting my date, trying to complete all my requirements! It is a family affair, grandad was sleeved, my mother is next, then me. My mom is only about a month ahead of me.. I've been looking for the Texas forum, glad I found it! ????
  4. They scare the crap outta me! Lol! I have no fear of heights, I'm just super weary of everything! Things go wrong everyday. I think it has alot to do with childhood, when I was forced on the tallest roller coaster in the world... In Texas at Astroworld. It may have scarred me for life. Lol I like the stupid kiddy rides... Like the train and the elephants... Lol! I would MUCH rather ride a live animal, than a machine... Which makes zero sense. Lol!
  5. Such awesome results! So happy for you! Allowing something to have that much control over your life is tiring, isn't it? It must be so nice! I'm just waiting to complete my program and get my date set! About throwing the food out, I don't think I will ever be able to do that. I have a problem with waste. All the "bad" food, or "going bad" food gets fed to my collection of animals, mainly the chickens! Good luck to everyone!
  6. Ya know, I used to LOVE amusement parks. But I just can't convince myself to get on one now! Lol! So happy that you were able to ride with your kids! That is truly amazing! Congrats!
  7. @BoD "How do you start a thread? Is there a way to follow people you want to see their journey?" I don't know the answer to your question myself, to start a thread for me was easy... I'm on a mobile app. Everything is pretty black and white. Good luck! Let me know if you figure out how to follow stories!

  9. Thank y'all so much! In regards to my goal, that is not a goal I set, but rather my Surgeon. He said that, there should be no problem hitting my desired weight, in that time frame. Because I'm very active, healthy person as is. I have never had high BP, Diabetes, Arthritis or sleep apnea. My only issue is metabolism. He needs me to be MORE active. My grandad. Has already had the surgery, and my Mother is a month ahead of me. I do not have my surgery date set yet. I'm just looking forward to renewing my contract with life And loving myself again!

  12. This is a mother/daughter adventure for me. Myself, being the "daughter". I'm 21 years old, 5.3" @ 255lbs. Goal: 140lbs, by December 2014. Im on a 6 month plan from my insurance company and had my very first nutritionist appointment last Friday (August 2013). I'm basically gathering as much information as my brain can handle about the procedure, with the before & afters, and preop/postop diets! Everyone on this site is so encouraging and helpful! I look forward to seeing everyone's success!
