I'm a 48 year old single mom of two girls, 16yrs and 12yrs. The hospital stay was a but of a vacation lol. I decided I was going to turn 50yrs at 150lbs not 250lbs. So here I go.

  • Okay! Feeling much better today! I went ahead and scheduled an appt with my doc and went with all my issues! He fixed them ALL! Told me to cut my antidepressant in half and take it!! Woohoo! Ju

August 27th sleever here.. I am LOVING my decision to get my sleeve. There are times I wonder if they actually sleeved me at all.. but then there are times I know for sure. I have lost since the beginning of the pre op diet a total of 37lbs!! I have returned to work a week ago, which has turned out to be more of a struggle than I thought it would be. I am on nights, trying not to eat during the day when I'm up so I can save my meals for at night.. its just all confusing. I'm still struggling to get all my protein and fluids in.. but I try and that's all I can do. I can't wait to hit the gym.. going today to see what all they offer. I hope all my other 8-27 sleevers are doing well.. hard to believe in a week we will be one month out!! :) one day at a time..

I see a whole lot of people saying they're not hungry- i am ... And i feel very hungry sometimes- though i'm following all the doctor's orders I feel very hungry throughout the day

my dr suggested add benefiber to some food or drinks, made a huge difference in my hunger!

8/14 - I just wanna wake up skinny!

Don't we all.. Lol.. But if there is anything that I have learned great things come to those who wait. Keep trying and working hard and you will get there.. I have faith in ya!

I'm loving mine too!! I'm down almost the exact same weight (36) and was sleeved the same day!! I'm meeting with a personal trainer today and I'm super excited!!!

Sleeved 8/21 down 30lbs. And still never hungry. I hardly eat. What about you guys?

I had my sleeve on 8/21 too. I feel my stomach empty sometimes and I feel like I need to eat something. For the most part I can do without eating....no cravings is fantastic! I have lost 32 lbs so far.

Had my 1 month post-op today, was so happy all my labs came back normal. I was afraid my doctor was going to fuss me since I haven't been taking my vitamins like I should.

I too feel very hungry. I am on the puréed foods. I'm wondering if the amount of hunger depends on the size of our pouches...

Me too. I get hungry often but thankfully it isn't the same type of hunger as before.

I definitely agree. It's not ravenous, have to eat now hunger, it's just better. :-)

I had my sleeve on August 16 and I'm down 40. I am still sore and I'm still learning my body. I'm gal I did it but its a bit challenging.

Same here.

I was sleeved on 8/12/13. I'm happy with the weight loss, but experience nausea most of the day. Any ideas what I can do or what may be happening? I also have diarrhea -- this started when I began the pre-op clear liquid diet and still continues. I'm 5 weeks post op now. Help!

I was sleeved 8/28 and I had diarrhea until I got to the soft foods stage (week 3). Some foods still give me nausea and I never know what is going to do it! As best I can figure, it's rich foods like mayonnaise and cream soups. I can drink milk just fine and eat cottage cheese like a champ without issue. I'll be 4 weeks post op tomorrow, so I feel your pain!

Ice cream makes my stomach hurt very bad - think I'm lactose intolerant. Since sleeve

Any thing cold makes my stomach hurt . I haven't tryed ice cream yet !
