I WAS SLEEVED ON 8/20 AND TODAY I CHEATED! I HAD THREE TABLESPOONS OF BAKED MAC N cheese. I AM

FEELING SO GUILTY. THE BAD THING IS IS THAT I JUST TRIED ON MY CLOTHES AND THEY ARE A LITTLE TOO BIG. I GOT SO EXCITED THINKING HOW I'VE ALREADY LOST 4INCHES AND HERE I AM GOING BACKWARDS.

While I tend to be one of those "follow the program" fellows, and I hope I am. It's over & done with. Get back on the horse and ride. And get your head "in the game".

Don't look at it like it is cheating! Look at it like this - before the surgery, would you have stopped, or been able to stop at three spoonfuls? I admit, it is a bit soon to be deviating from the plan. But if you go forever denying yourself an occasional treat, that is no way to live. Forgive yourself, and get back with the program.

Do you log in my fitness pal? When I "cheat", I hold myself accountable and count it towards my daily calories/carbs. I had my surgery July 3, 2013 and have cheated a couple of times. A spoonful of regular ice cream, or a couple of wheat thins, or 1 mini ravioli, but I log it in MFP so I know how to gauge my eating for the rest of the day. Even on the days I "cheat", I'm still under 800 calories. I'm sure prior to surgery, we've all been guilty of eating 3,000+ calories! Don't be too hard on yourself.

I didn't even cheat during my preop diet. But I'm going to get back in the game and get on the losing bench.

I don't think you should worry about the cheating focus more on NOT hurting yourself. You're human and won't do everything perfectly. Whenever you feel like eating something like that again, remember that your stomach is very very very fragile and weigh the pros and cons. You're less that two weeks out. Be careful.

Basically what everyone else says - log it/watch what you eat today and move forward. You can't change it and dwelling on it might trigger more frequent "cheats." Remember - you went through a lot of time, money and risk getting this surgery. Your body is healing and will continue to heal for months so treat it right with the instructions from your surgeon.

What's done is done but you're not far enough out from surgery to deviate too much. I would think it would interfere with the healing process. Follow MDs orders to prevent complications. Three spoons of mac wont be a big deal later for sure.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
