7 days and kids want mcdonalds

I honestly have no idea. Something about fast food grilled chicken doesn't do it for me so I just don't eat it LOL I was 4 months this past August 16th and I had my first taco (crunchy) from taco bell two nights ago and won't be eating it again anytime soon. We eat out a good bit but I avoid the fast food as much as I can. Now I'm not criticizing anyone by me saying I avoid it. Fast food is just a slippery slope for me.

Unless I'm misunderstanding, the OP wasn't planning to eat at McD on this visit, just asking what one could have in the long-term.

I've thought of the grilled chicken sandwich with no bun, the chicken/steak wraps with no tortillas just eat the insides, and the English muffin Breakfast thing (sorry I don't know what it's called) without the English muffin, just the ham and egg.

Bluto started a thread about healthy fast food options that you might search for, since people had some great ideas for quick but WLS meals on the go.

Here's a link to that thread http://www.verticals...good-fast-food/ I don't think McD's got addressed but there are many other good ideas. The biggest issue with most of the fast food places is that the food is completely molested, just chock full of chemicals to make it irresistible and give it a 300 yr shelf life.

You eat grilled chicken at home, it's got one ingredient chicken (ok two because I like to put pepper on them) Here's the ingredients for the grilled chicken wrap:

GRILLED CHICKEN FILLET: Chicken Breast Fillet with Rib meat, Water, Seasoning (Rice Starch, Salt, Sugar, Yeast Extract, Canola Oil, Onion powder, Maltodextrin, Chicken Skin, Paprika, Flavor, Sunflower Oil, Chicken, Garlic powder, Chicken Fat, Spices), Sodium Phosphates.

Prepared with liquid Margarine: liquid Soybean Oil and Hydrogenated Cottonseed and Soybean Oils, Water, Partially Hydrogenated Soybean Oil, Salt, Soy Lecithin, Mono-and Diglycerides, Sodium Benzoate and Potassium Sorbate (Preservatives), Artificial Flavor, Citric Acid, Vitamin A Palmitate, Beta Carotene (Color)

FLOUR TORTILLA: Enriched Flour (Bleached Wheat Flour, Malted Barley Flour, Niacin, Reduced Iron, Thiamin Mononitrate, Riboflavin, Folic Acid), Water, Shortening (Interesterified Soybean Oil and/or Hydrogenated Soybean Oil and/or Soybean Oil and/or Hydrogenated Cottonseed Oil), Contains 2% or Less of: Sugar, Leavening (May Contain One or More of: Baking Soda, Sodium Aluminum Sulfate, Corn Starch, Sodium Acid Pyrophosphate, Calcium Sulfate, Monocalcium Phosphate), Salt, Wheat Gluten, Dough Conditioners (Sodium Metabisulfite [Contains Sulfites], Distilled Monoglycerides)

SHREDDED CHEDDAR/JACK CHEESE: Cheddar cheese (Pasteurized Milk, cheese Culture, Salt, Enzymes, Annatto
), Monterey Jack Cheese (Pasteurized Milk, Cheese Culture, Salt, Enzymes), Potato Starch and Corn Starch and Powdered Cellulose (Prevent Caking), Dextrose, Enzymes, Natamycin (Natural Mold Inhibitor)

BUTTERMILK RANCH SAUCE: Soybean Oil, Cultured Buttermilk, Water, Sour Cream (Milk, Cream, Modified Food Starch, Guar Gum, Sodium Phosphates, Carob Bean Gum, Sodium Citrate, Calcium Sulfate, Carrageenan, Dextrose, Potassium Sorbate, Enzymes, Citric Acid, Gelatin, Mono- and Diglycerides), Egg Yolks, Contains 2% or Less: Distilled Vinegar, Maltodextrin, Salt, Dextrose, Modified Food Starch, Soy Sauce (Soybeans, Wheat, Salt), Dried Onion, Garlic Powder, Lactic Acid, Natural Flavor (Vegetable Source) and Artificial Flavor, Shallots, Preservatives (Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, Calcium Disodium EDTA), Xanthan Gum, Spice, Phosphoric Acid, Sodium Acid Sulfate, Propylene Glycol Alginate, Autolyzed Yeast Extract

Looking at the ingredients first can always make you reconsider things. Especially when you can't pronounce half of them. I'm about to be a month out, and have craved a burger but I just had a home made turkey burger took a bite and spit it out it just gave my taste buds what it wanted and I'm ok. For now. :)

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
