Today was my psych evaluation and I passed! I'm SO happy! Final insurance required weigh-in will be this Saturday, contacting my surgeon on Tuesday and making that appointment to see him one last time before they submit my case to my insurance company. I'm thinking 2-3 weeks from now my insurance wil be notified. I'm so excited and so nervous. I didn't think I would finally get this close!!! :D

I'm in a little in shock right now. Would it be silly to start prepping now? Or do people wait until things are submitted to their insurance company?

Valkyrea, I finished my six month diet on August 5, the next week paperwork was submitted to insurance company and I heard back by Friday of the same week that I was approved. I scheduled for Oct because of my job, then rescheduled for Sept 24. I am so excited. Good luck to you.

We are in the same boat! Did my psych eval Monday. Do my final weigh-in on Tuesday. I will have met all my surgical requirements. I am also starting my two week pre-op diet on the 3rd so I can have surgery as soon as everything is approved.

That's great!!! Congratulations! This month will fly by for you. Have you started to prep for surgery and the pot-op diet yet?

I'm hoping I can get the surgery mid-end of September, I'll be off for a few days from work and it would be the BEST time to take off.

Awesome! Did your doctor suggest you start your pre-op diet on the 3rd? How long as you supposed to be on it?

They did suggest I start it after my final appointment only because I am on a time crunch to get it done. Most of the time they don't recommend starting it until you have been approved for surgery and they set your surgical date around that.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
