Kroger Perfect Fit Meals

Recommended Posts

For anyone trying to do a low carb/high Protein diet, whether pre or post op, these meals are heaven sent!

They are in the deli area and they have 20 to 30 different varieties.

They include chicken permasen, bbq chicken, beef fillet, pancakes, omelettes, fish tacos and lots more. They all include the main meat or Protein, veggies, and a side like potatoes, rice, or noodles.

They all vary in calories, carbs, and protein but most are about 400 calories, 20 carbs, and 40 protein.

They are about 10oz each so bariatric patients can eat one throughout the day.

They range from $5.50 to $8.00 each.

These meals taste great. I am still on liquids but my 14 year old daughter is on a low carb/high protein diet and buys them. I have tried each of them that she has ate and you would never know they are diet foods. She eats 2 a day and stays well under her calorie goal. She also doesn't feel deprived because she is having potatoes and noodles. If a 14 year old can stay on a diet using them, anyone can.

They are also awesome because it takes all the guess work out. Everything is measured out and calories, carbs, and protein is in big print on top. Also you have a great meal that takes 2 minutes to warm up.

You can go to myfitnesspal and search these and it will show you all the varieties and content they have.

Also, not all Krogers have these. I have been to 3 different ones and only 1 carried them. They are in black microwave trays. If you don't see them ask the deli. If they dont carry them maybe you can get them to carry them. It is so worth it.

Hmmm... I will have to check Kroger! Have you tried the Atkins frozen dinners? Walmart carries them, other store too...but their low carb too & delicious!

What is the sugar and sodium count on these?

I just did a quick MFP search on these and neither the sodium or the sugar looks outrageous. The highest sodium I saw was 440 mg, but most were in the 200 range. Most sugars were under 5 g but all I saw were under 10 g.

Still probably not something I can buy right now -- first, I haven't seen them at either of my local Krogers, and second, at this stage in my diet I am not allowed grains or starches or to eat that many carbs. But I will definitely keep these in mind for a later phase in my diet and hope they show up for me locally!

They sound great, but are still too high carb for me, 20gs is a lot on a single meal ... as for the Kroger's not having them, I bet if you give your local location a call or tell the manager the next time you are there, they will look into ordering them, I've done that before with various items, it works!

We have seen these but the box looks so bland. I will try them now that someone recommends them.

Thanks!

Some have 10g of carbs, they are all different. They are all a full meal for a normal person but for us they would have to be eaten throughout the day because they are so big. 20g of carbs throughout the day is fine for me.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
