Try Smooth Move, a tea. Works great within a few hours and my doctor approved it.

My doctor said Miralax

Miralax and Senokot or Colace. If you take Miralax make sure you drink an extra glass of water that day!

I took Ducolax. I got the Kroger brand because it was cheap. I was about 6 or 7 days without pooping and was worried. I ended up taking one around 11am, one at bedtime the same night, and one at bedtime the following night. Voila! The next morning ( day 9 without a poop), I was relieved. Not impacted which was my fear. I did have a few cramps over the few days, but they didn't last long. I hope you feel better soon.

Are there any "unsafe" meds that VSG patient absolutely should not use?
