Recommended Posts

First' date=' congrats on your 90 lb loss. That's awesome. I wonder if why you feel so bad s because you didn't follow the food stages. My dr says even if I follow the stages he sets out, sometimes folks have to step back to the previous stage a little longer. Have you talked to your dr?[/quote']

Thank u actually I tired the whole follow the steps I had it terrible in beginning I had to have my gallbladder emergency removed then I had to have my dr go back in and put botox to loosen up my slevee so I could stop throwing up that has got a lil better but am still throwing up how long post open are u do u have any drinks or foods that could maybe help me out thanks for the reply

I am with you...I was sleeved on 8/7/13...have had really hard time drinking plain Water...everyday gets better. Today it seems to be much better going down.

When I swallow....my stomach gurgles and it feels like it sits there...some of the things I have found helpful are...having room temp Water as opposed to ice cold, standing up walking around when drinking the water.....putting in a big cup and sipping all day so i can see the progress that I have made, also adding a splash of cranberry or apple juice to plain water. Tea is helpful as well. My Protein shakes are another story...takes me all day to drink one....these are counted towards my daily goal of 64oz daily...I am not close to there yet.

Hoping this helps it still hurts in my stomach once the fluids hit it , its like a horrible sharp burning pain ? think yesterday I got to 30 oz of Fluid , still way short of the 64 oz goal ......

Applesauce? Not a good idea just 5 days out. That's a stage II food and can slow your healing process. I too was sleeved on 8/7, but the pain has been manageable as long as I walk at least 4 times a day for about 10 min each trip. I feel much better each morning, but I would definitely NOT use Stage II foods to curb your hunger pains. They will subside. Just stick with it!! Good luck.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
