Hi All, This is the first time I have been able to post since my surgery last Tuesday, August 6th. I am doing fine but very tender and sore. They found a hiatal hernia and I had to have that repaired as well so that is creating some of the pain that I am having as well. My appetite has been pretty much non-existent but I am making myself drink and try to eat something. I am down 9 pounds since surgery but that is, I am sure, to be expected that first week when we are still recuperating from the surgery. I am ready to begin having creamed Soups, eggs, cooked Beans and yogurt next week, Tuesday I believe but who's counting. :) Any other August 6ers chiming in yet???

I too was sleeved August 6th, today was the first day I felt normal, but not hungry at all! I have to force myself to eat, my third day my doc had me on pudding, it made me gag. I am trying so hard to get my Protein Shakes in, but hard I get cramps. I started Gas X it is amazing so far, hoping tomorrow I can eat a bit more. Good luck to you!

I was sleeved on the 6th too. Feeling better day by day. I just get a weird pain in the middle of my back. It's intense and then goes away. That's worrying me a bit.

I'm on the same boat! I just want to chew on something! I'd actually been having head cravings for one of my friends homemade sourdough breads (she uses her grandmothers starter) So fantastically yummy!! Guess what. She knew I was in the hospital but not why. So she brought over a loaf in a feel better basket, it was still warm! Such agony!!

My husband cut out his half and stuck the other half on the freezer for later :-/

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
