  • Peanut butter is OK, but not really the best choice because peanuts are not really a nut. It is a legume and grows below ground. Nuts like walnuts, almonds, etc grow above ground. They have more prote

I got mine at GNC 5 bucks and I put it with my chocolate protein shakes for my pre op diet makes it go down a lot better. Great PB flavor!!!

I just bought Jiff whipped peanut butter. I can't wait to try it on sliced apples. :)

I found PB2 (both regular and chocolate) at Walmart near all the other Peanut Butter :-) waaaaay easier then ordering online!

I can't wait to try it!

I bought the Jiffy whipped peanut butter and I could probably get in trouble with that. If I don't pay attention I'd probably eat the whole container.

I think you are referring to PB2. You can find it online at amazon, but I also found a similar product (different brand) at vitamin shoppe. Trader Joes might have something like PB2. These products are both lower in calories and fat when compared with regular peanut butter, as in 1/3 the calories and fat. Still tastes great! My surgical center sells PB2, but I think you can probably also find it at mybariatricpantry.com or bariatric sites like that.

I saw it yesterday at stop and shop!

I found PB2 at my local Kroger grocery store in the organic area. It was less than $5.00 for the jar. I think I'm still a couple weeks away from eating it since my dr has me on a liquid diet. Although, I have given it serious thought to put it in my Vitamix with my protein powder and ff milk and just blend it. Any thoughts on that from anyone?

Cool! I looked at the small Walmart by my job for the PB2 today & was let down cause they don't carry it. I'm glad Kroger may have it. :-) Yay!

I have a large Walmart, is it normally in with the protein shakes and such

Peanut Butter..........I partake almost every evening for my nighttime snack..........love it! Not sure if I'm supposed to eat it that often, but I do. I prefer the natural peanut butters and also like the almond butter too.........but only if it's on sale.......quite expensive.

Funny you asked, yesterday I was wondering what was the best thing for Protein and I Googled a site that had the top 11 choices for protein, and here is what it said about Peanut Butter ..

11. Peanut Butter

2 Tablespoons = 8 Grams of Protein

Eating peanut butter is perhaps the easiest (and most delicious) way to up the amount of healthy protein in your diet.. You can add peanut butter to so many things (wraps, sandwiches, vegetables etc) but for those of you with little time to prepare healthy meals, simply consuming to spoonfuls of this delicious spread straight from the spoon will give you a whopping 16 ounces of healthy protein for the day.

I was told by the NUT to look into the powder PB because regular PB is too sticky so doesn't work well?

I was allowed pnut butter very early on. Have some every day!!

My NUT said that Peanut Butter is great' date=' better if its the natural stuff but doesn't really allow it directly after surgery because its sticky. She did say they sell it in powder form which I need to find :)[/quote']

On Amazon and I think at GNC.

I've been eating one tablespoon a day. Unsweetened and unsalted. It's been a lifesaver. It gives me a little boost especially on days when I can't bear to eat anything more solid. Surgery on 7/30.

PB 2 was a lifesaver for me. Highly recommend. These days, in maintenance, I actually need to bump up calories a bit, so am having a Jif To-Go more or less daily. Still use PB 2 on days when I need a PB fix but don't have the calories for it.
