That is so incredibly sweet. I'm pretty proud of myself. Anybody that says this is the "easy way" has no idea. Thank you so much for the kind words and encouragement.

Congrats to you!! Thank you!! As far as advice, I guess just don't over think it. The weight will come off. I don't restrict anything from my diet. I did this because I was tired of food controlling my life so the last thing I was going to do was make food the center of my life as a result of my sleeve. I eat when I'm hungry, I take my Vitamins and I don't always make the best decisions but I'm losing and I'm happy. I think everyone has to do what's best for them. I hate when people try tell you all the "sleeve rules" We're not perfect and if we were we wouldn't have to have the sleeve surgery. I do get on the scale almost daily. For me it's accountability. If I see that I'm gaining a bit I restrict myself a little more but refuse to live my life on a diet. I wouldn't change a thing. Good luck to you. I would love to follow your journey. Your are moments from being the you that you deserve to be!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
