Noisy Stomach! does it get better?

Recommended Posts

Hi!

Happily sleeved 7/30 and I have a quick question for you- I'm noticing my stomach, bowels etc are noisy all the time now. Did this happen to anyone else? Does it go away with food? It doesn't hurt so I am not complaining- just curious? Or maybe my sleeve is just talkative Lol.

It's funny u say that lol because I got super scared when I heard all these noises my stomach would make now that its been a year for me my stomach still makes noises and loud to I don't wanna be in a quiet room when it happens lol but my doctor says its normal its the stomach digesting the food oh and one thing do not and I mean do not take anything but Tylenol for pain or headaches I was taking Advil for my nerve pain and severe headaches and I was in a massive amount of pain it will cause a bleeding ulcer so plz don't take that. Sometimes I feel like my stomach is talking to me especially when I eat something that my stomach can't digest I stay away from bread, rice, potatoes, greasy food, hot dogs, and anything with acid cause woooo u talking about major noises lmbo I found some really great recipes on Pinrest under gastric sleeve recipes very tasty when ur able to eat solid foods try them cause you will get sick of Soup, eggs, oatmeal trust me lol

Sleeved 28/5 and I get the gurgles too. It's my signal that I'm full, that I chugged my Water too quickly and also that I am developing gas. I've learned to read what each gurgle means. It's almost like Siobhan Sleeve is chatting to me. Lol. You get used to it.

I was also sleeved 7/30 and just started the noises yesterday. TMI warning, I also went #2 for first time and produced a lot of gas so was hoping it was my body just getting up and functioning again.

9 months out today (woohoo) and I still have a noisy stomach/esophagus! It's embarrassing because I'm a hairstylist and when at the Shampoo bowl, my clients are very close to that area! Haha!

When I was banded 4 yrs ago (have since been sleeved almost 3 weeks ago), my esophagus started gurgling everytime I ate or drank anything. Hubby got used to it lulling him to sleep. Says now he misses it!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
