Where's the best place for broth in Tj?

My husband & I will be in Tj Aug5-10. Surgery is scheduled 8/6, hubby will want some authentic Mexican food. Also, should we pay with pesos or US currency? And of course where's the best broth?

    If in Tj, one must eat Fish Tacos! They are supposed to be the best anywhere! I'm so sad that I won't be able to try them :(
