Did you apply for temporary disability after surgery? Did your Mexico doctor fill it out? How long were you off? Were there any problems from disability due to Mexico doctor?

If you were not eligible for disability prior to surgery, I am not sure what your disability would be post op. Unless of course, you developed some sort of complication that would make you unable to work after surgery. My Surgeon feels that his post op patients are healthier after surgery than before surgery.

It's temporary disability. In Ca if you can't work temporarily due to illness, injury or surgery, you are temporarily disabled. It's a program run by the unemployment department and as workers we pay into an insurance fund for this purpose.

I wasnt self pay & I had disability insurance through work. My surgeon filled out the paperwork.

My surgeon filled out the paperwork for Ca disability. I wanted a long time off so I could also take a vacation. He gave me 6 weeks!
