I should be somewhere around middle to end of Sept. I too am excited' date=' scared, apprehensive and many other adjectives. I can't wait!!! Trying to pre game and discover Protein Drinks and foods that I like before coming home post op. Trying instant Breakfast with extra Protein Powder, Jello, Soup etc. Alreafy down 7 pounds just from stopping a heavy duty pepsi addiction.....lol who knew. Getting a lot of info from several places and becoming as educated as I can. I am from medford oregon area. Dr. Mark Eaton is my surgeon. He is the head of the program. I see some very good results. I am looking forward to being able to do many things I haven't been able to as well as a reduction in pain levels.

Thanks y'all

Hi Pam,

I love Oregon! If I lived where you do, I would be eager to be thinner so I could hike and go river rafting. As it is, even though I live in the insufferable heat and humidity of Houston, I look forward to re-visiting Oregon, Washington State, New England and other beautiful places and hitting those trails. Harry and David's is in Medford, isn't it? YUM! Love those peaches, and they are something we should be able to eat eventually. GOOD LUCK! Diana

Assume that was intended for ncsumara, in Wa.? I believe her hospital is St. Francis, which I think is south of Seattle, north of Tacoma. Northern Idaho? wow. I have never known anyone who lived there. Has that always been your home? I am in Houston.

Congratulations on starting this new lifestyle. TJ should be safe. Just don't take any valuables and don't be too flashy. You should be ok. We go out there often to do shopping and enjoy the food. We've never had any problems. Good luck darling!

Does anyone know or have a list of all the Vitamins we'll need post op? Or is this something our doctor gives us because it may be different for everybody?

I really would wait on your Dr or Nut for this information you may need more of something or less of something than other people its always best to get the info straight from Dr but there really is some good advise on here.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
