This is the step I was most worried about. It was a breeze. They brought me into the room, the anesthesiologist gave me something "to make this go easier" and next thing I knew I woke up in the recovery room. Just wanted to post this in case anyone else is really nervous about this part.

I have mine on friday. I was so worried about this step as well and planned on putting it off until it was the last thing i had to do, but i changed my mind. I feel ok right now but i know i will be freaking out on thursday esp since no one is going to be able to come with me.

Will they still proceed with the egd if you have a cold? i have had a sore throat for over a week now.

 Yup, that pretty much describes it. I go in for another one tomorrow. The only hard part is paying for it and waking up so freakin' early.

Hi again, maybe every doc is different but they told me no cab bc they need to be able to contact that person if needed, as well as, make then responsible for u. Again sweety, call bc no need wasting money on a trip if they turn u away. They asked me when I got there to meet my driver nd made him give his number to call when they were done. I'm just lookn out for u. Did anyone else go thru the same thing as i did with requiring a driver to be there?

I had a cough and sore throat and they still did mine. I think mine was mostly allergies though. As far as a driver my step daughter dropped me off and they called her when it was time to pick me up. Don't put it off if you can avoid it, that will just give you more time to get worked up about it. Good luck.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
