health insurance after sleeve

Can anyone respond if they have or have not had a problem with getting health insurance acceptance since their sleeve surgery? I have recently had to forgo the insurance with my company because of costs and am applying as an individual. I had my surgery De. 2011 and have not had any complications at all. Down 70 lbs and only taking my blood pressure meds every other day now!! Yeah!! I will never be called skinny but am at a more normal weight and feel wonderful. I worry that the insurance company will not understand the benifits and see it as a problem. Any thoughts? Thanks
