So today begins the TRUE journey of the start of my new life! 3 sugar free carnation milks a day and 1 cup veggies with only Clear Liquids to drink! I have been reading that the first 3 days are the worst for this begining but all I can think about are the foods I crave on a daily basis. I think this will pass but what are some things everyone else is doing to pass this time by? I think my nerves are a rumbled up too, making me want to eat of course! Its so exciting and scary at the same time to be experiencing something I never thought I would be able to do! Anyone have any tips for getting through this time?

My pre-op diet is only liquids. Sometimes when you think you're hungry, you're really only thirsty. Flavor your Water with Mio, Crystal light, or Dasani drops if that makes it easier. Drink, Drink, Drink. After surgery we'll be sip, wait, sip wait. Get those fluids in while you can. If you stay hydrated it will be easier to find veins for your IV and bloodwork. With luck, and a good phlebotomist you'll only have to get stuck once. That's my motivation for staying well hydrated pre-operatively. I hate needle sticks.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
