Would someone describe to me how well your incisions have healed? Is there noticeable scaring?

My incisions have healed very well not really noticeable. They seem to fade more and more over time. I use cocoa butter on mines once they healed. I know where they are because I would look at them every day other than that they will fade away. Plus they are super small incisions with helps them not be very noticeable.

Mine, too, are not very noticeable, BUT I have rubbed Mederma on them EVERY day after my shower. I'm 17 weeks out and they have turned from red to a light pink/grey. I probably won't be wearing a bikini, but still they bother me. The 2 smallest ones are almost non-existent. They 3 others are about an inch. (All in all, not a bad tradeoff for going from a 3x to a size 8-10 in 17 weeks!!)

I'm 5 months out and mine have definitely faded but are still noticeable. They don't really bother me. Maybe the would if I were in my 20s and planning to wear a bikini...but I'm not. :)

My 4 small incisions have faded to the point where I can pass them off as freckles. The big one, could be mistaken for a birthmark - it's about 1 1/2 across and fading slowly.

If I decide to wear a bikini, I think I could do a comb-over with some of my belly hair and hide it. ~:-)

Thanks guys. I guess I'm concerned about this since I really don't want people to ask me about my scars forever. I'm a guy, so I'll be going shirtless at the pool and stuff. I guess I could always tell people I was stabbed in a bar fight. Lol

Please don't do a comb-over with your belly hair. Hahaha, that was funny.

As a guy and having the "advantage" of some hair, I dont even know if I could find mine now. They have faded away to where I really would need to look for them. Now, I have not really paid attention but as I get more and more tan as the summer goes on, they may show up (since scars tan differently than normal skin) but to this point, when I look in the mirrow, I dont notice them.

Or my favorite, tell'em - Not all aliens burst out of the chest!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
