How was your 5:2 day today?

My biggest dilemma is that I have to take medicine in the morning. I don't want to eat until around 11 am because I like to have a late night snack of 100 calorie pack of cocoa dusted almonds. I've been putting off taking my medicine but the one I can't put off is an anti biotic.

I guess I can share this ,lol. I have to take an antibiotic before have sex or I will get a UTI.I have to take it with food.

I guess half of a Greek Yogurt would be 50 calories. I need to look up string cheese and baby bell light.

How about you? Is the 5:2 plan working with your life? I also don't like working out with my trainer on an empty stomach.

Will this not work if you have 11 hours in between instead of 12? There must be some reason you have to have 12 hours off.

Thanks Cowgirl, it is Niebles actually. I remember hearing about that person that was kicked off and I seem to remember that she wasn't actually a real coordinator, just an obsessive fan who tried to

Sue, Cathy, Wanda, Georgia, and Dee, I wanted you all to know I'm thinking about you. I wish I had some magic words that I could say to you to turn things around but I don't. I do know that you all can do this. Please don't give up. We've all been here for one another through our ups and downs. Maybe take some time and make it important that you/we post here more often to get that motivation and accountability back?? It's hard, life gets in the way, but, you can do this! We can do this together!

Hang in there ladies (all of you, even the ones we haven't heard from in awhile). Hugs to all of you!

Sheryl, If you feel ambitious, would you post a link to this person's posts? I really don't get around the board much anymore. I go in spurts, where I watch tv and don't turn on my lap top. Then I'll be totally into the computer and not turn on the tv except for the music channel. Anyway, I'd like to read something of hers and see what you and Sarah are talking about.

Sue, Cathy Dee, Wanda, and whoever else has not made to goal, concentrate on how much you have lost. Keep doing the best you can. We are in this for life. I know people who have expected the sleeve to do all the work, but we all know once you're past the honeymoon stage, it's a stuggle. I've put back 5 lbs that I lost with 5:2 and now my summer capris are tight. 5 lbs makes a difference. Every pound makes a difference. I haven't been to the gym all summer either.

Sat. I go to Chicago and I'm really worried about gaining weight on vacation.

Florinda, did you see the post from someone who was recently dianosed with MS? She was looking for someone to talk to who has MS. How are you? How are things going with your BF? Are you in Seattle?

Sherly, are you still seeing Tino?

Well everyone, guess what? I am being forced to return to duty, in Kansas. I was given 24 hours notice and had to purchase my own tickets at last minute prices. My belongings, that only just arrived two days ago, are still in boxes, exploding around my apartment. I have slept in my bed once. I pre-paid for my tango classes for the coming month, and now I will be in Kansas for 6 weeks. in July and August, the most disgusting time of year, 100% humidity, it is terrible for my condition. Also, my personal effects are still in Afghanistan because, apparently, it is not the policy of the program to pay for or send the effects of someone who has been medivac'd. :( I fly out at 9am tomorrow...

Florinda, what a shambles, you must be fuming. I know you are linked to the military but not in it but whoever you work for need to get their house in order. It seems that you are just being pushed from pillar to post and back again! It must be very unsettling for you. Besides the job how is life going - Boyfriend and health good?

Wanda, well done on your low carb day. I too decided to take control back and yesterday was a good day, not perfect but certainly a lot better than it has been in the past 3 months. I am just off to the supermarket and will put some nice things for me in the basket. One day at a time.

Sarah you are right I need to make myself more accountable, pop in more and ask for help when I need it. Thats something I'm not good at, I always give the help I do not ask for it.

Chicago!!!?????? You will be so close to me!! Do you want to try to meet up or is your whole tripped jam packed already? How long will you be in town? Where will you be staying? Let me know, I would love to try to make it work that we could meet in person.

Swim posts in the vets forum alot, just click on the link in her siggy and you pretty much get the picture. I thought I had a lot to learn from her but it is more conspiracy theories then anything useful to me.

Stopped seeing Tino a bit ago. It just wasn't working out. I am not sure if he intentionally misled me in what he was looking for or perhaps he didn't really know or perhaps he just found me less appealing after all but I didn't want to be just dad's girlfriend... I want someone to do fun stuff with as a couple.

Had a blast this last weekend, went dancing and stuff.

Family tragedy has happened though, I am just sick over it. Someone I used to be very close to but who has sorta let alcoholism drive a wedge in her relationships has been diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. I am getting a bit of post traumatic stress due to my history of dealing with my sisters illness and death. This is just ugly and horrid and I will spare you all the details but it's really bad. I am immediately aware that I need to be very deliberate about not returning to depression, like, I just feel so emotionally overwhelmed by it that I just don't know. Right now I want to sleep but I need to work.

Sarah, I think your results are just amazing. I knew they would be since you are so fit! You must be very happy.

All that are struggling - I guess we knew that we are in this forever, right? Wish it were easier, but I think we are all so much better off than preWLS and need to remember those victories even as the struggle continues!

I'll add my mopey-pants to the roster - went camping with the family and I swear my husbands sibling's are a passive aggressive lot - I will spare you guys the details but we will be on a cruise next year so I will have 2 years to steel myself against more familial crappy behavior.

Scale is being stubborn for me too - though it it down a bit - it has seesawed back and forth so much in an 8 lb range that I don't even bother with the ticker at all. Need to do the same thing - watch the carbs, and really hydrate which I have been lax on.

I turned down the offer of the 2 year interim faculty position - what administration has done by forcing half of our tenured faculty into retirement with threats has left such a bitter taste in my mouth that I doubt I will ever teach in college again - its a heavy workload for the pay as well. I am so disillusioned with the politics of higher education, staggering debt that the students have to bear, and the art world, that I am taking a time out from it all. Looking for jobby jobs with no connection to arts and academia. Just want a bit of peace and not feel like I am working for and with a bunch of crooks.

Hope everyone is well - bit of a blah July here.

Oh my, so much has gone on in such a short time!

Sarah, I will be staying with my brother on the North Side of Chicago. I am going to meet another WLS friend in Michigan City on one of the days. We used to have a summer home there. We will go to the outlet mall while my brother goes to the casino.  Where are you? I'll be there for 10 days so I am sure we could meet. I'm not sure where you are, but it would be easiest for me to meet somewhere downtown.

Sheryl, how did Tino take it when you told him you didn't think it was working out? I'm really sorry to hear about your friend. That just sucks.  I'm really afraid I am getting to the age where I am going to start losing friends.

Florinda, that just plain sucks. I really don't understand how they have control over you, if you aren't in the military . I guess you have some sort of contract with someone? It just seems like you could get a doctor to say you aren't physically able to work.

Wow, Kelly, that was really an awesome story. I'm so glad that woman had the confidence to tell that guy off. I'm glad my guy always tells me he loves my body.

It's pretty saggy and full of wrinkles too, and he tells me it's perfect.

My last bf really hurt my feelings once when I was naked. He said "you need to remember you're 60 years old and don't have the body to be running around naked. " I was so hurt.

you have got to be kidding? Bless your heart. What a crazy setup! Sorry for this.

Denise, I am a Department of the Army Civilian, with a rank-equivalency government rating of GS13, I am not a contractor. My program is run through TRADOC - Training and Doctrine for Dept of the Army. It is shadowy, vague, obfuscating, and made of straw. The fraud waste and abuse are shocking, as are the abuses against women. Women who speak up are quickly buried. I report in tomorrow, will let you guys know what happens.
