Wow! 8/6 is gonna be a busy day! Congrats on your date. I've had mine (8/6) for about 2 months and that's a lot of time to percolate on it. Thank God for this board.

Wow! 2 months! You know, I was a little surprised I didn't have to wait longer.....I figured I had more time--but feeling very grateful for the 8/6 date...

I've been playing with Protein Drinks for awhile now...I don't have enough time for a food funeral LOL If I do anything, I may have a meal with Chinese food...I've heard sometimes it doesn't agree post WLS.....not always a healthy choice anyway, so not a big loss LOL

I am new to this site my date is aug 6 im stressing on the two week diet before any pointers would be great!

Welcome! The folks on here are terrific! I really enjoyed this post on attitude, his message is good for everyone: http://www.verticalsleevetalk.com/topic/87330-attitude-your-secret-weapon/page__hl__attitude

this is my plan for the 2 week pre-op diet: understand it fully, make sure all ques. are answered...have everything in the home....make sure there is no excuse that could possibly set yourself up for failure....my day is unpredictable, so I will be sure to have plenty of shakes/water for the day in a cooler whenever I leave the house

probably a little militant, but it troubles me when I read about people not following the pre-op diet 100%....logically, it doesn't make any sense...even worse, I'm scared that I'll find myself in the same boat....

I've purged my cabinets of anything I won't use post-op....setting up an area just for the 2 week stuff...food I have to have for hubby will be out of my sight....

Welcome!

Great idea on purging the cabinets.. I have already started a little.. and dedicated a shelf for 'Mom's Stuff' no one is allowed to eat my stuff.. that way I won't feel the need to go out and buy more..

Getting sleeved 8/15 in Miami. Very excited yet nervous. I started a journal and plan on documenting this metamorphosis of body and mind. Bucket list of food I want to eat and just going with it. One day at a time ...!

I hope I will get a August surgery date also. I decided to travel to WLA instead of the local dr. in my area so I can get in earlier. The Palmdale doctor is taking almost a month off for vacation and some of Sept. surgery schedule is already booked. I see the surgery next Thursday at Kaiser WLA. My drink of choice was juice, so I finally gave it up and drinking more Water. Unfortunately, I still crave it. I have a teenager and adult daughter in the home and that is all that they drink, although it is 100% juice, I know eating my fruit is better for me.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
