Another August 6th here! I've been doing low carb this week trying to prepare myself for the two week liquid diet that starts next Tuesday. Not looking forward to that one bit!

Wow! 8/6 is gonna be a busy day! Congrats on your date. I've had mine (8/6) for about 2 months and that's a lot of time to percolate on it. Thank God for this board.

The chairs side note is cracking me up. I bought a beach chair at the grocery store ( cheap last minute beach trip). Worried I would break it, and once I got in it could barely get up and out! Those days are soon to be SO OVER!

... Did any of you have a last meal of those foods we are not supposed to eat post-op?

I've really misbehaved with allowing myself to eat everything and anything I won't touch after the surgery. I can only pray that I am as disciplined as I hope to be afterward.

I'm having mine on august 5th, only one month after my parents offered and we all together found out about this fantastic surgery and all its benefits...how craaaaazy i feel so unprepared but yet couldn't find a better moment to do it. i'm young (so less chance of extra skin), not too far in my weight gain and still have a couple weeks before school starts again. geez i am nervous and excited at the same time.

I'm doing mine on August 6th in TJ (Mexico) at Mi Doctor (staying at the Marriott). My husband is going with me.

This pre-op diet is KILLING me. On my 3rd day. Supposed to do 2-3 shakes plus small dinner of lean protein+salad. I have a constant head ache. Had 1 Migraine. The Protein Shakes make me want to vomit! I'm cheating by adding sugar-free Jello & chicken stock to the mix. Ugh.

It will all be worth it in the end. :)

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
