That is disgusting. A man's life is ruined because someone didnt know the meaning of a one night stand. I understand it was unprofessional of him but I guarentee it if they were still "together" there wouldn't be an issue. Or if she knew someone who she just met overseas doesn't want a relationship.

Dr. Garcia was most likely bombarded with calls and emails demanding he fire Dr. Luna or else. Self-righteousness will do it all the time. I believe since it was consensual the most he should've got was a reprimand. I guess some doctors in MX put business before standing by their employees. I also guessed the right woman. This is one of the rare scenarios I've seen where a woman wasn't ****-shamed for her behavior. While that is a good thing prosecuting the doctor is no better. If she wasn't a fat women who all on this forum can relate to I don't so many would sympathize.

I'm thinking the doctors in Mexico need to be warned to beware of some of their female patients!

Seems like people are missing the point. Doctor's are not to sleep with their patients willing or not. Ever. Period. If nothing else, it confuses the doctor patient relationship as you've seen here. Yes, she's responsible for her actions. It doesn't change the fact he was clearly not acting in the best interests of his patient. That's what being a doctor is about, looking out for their patients. Don't attack people who expect doctors to live up to their obligations. Laura-ven was following her convictions, not launching a vendetta against the guy. Let's be mature about this and let it go. Dr. Garcia has dealt with the situation.

I remember the long thread about rolla when she was all about vanity and had a really low BMI and people thought she was doing it for the wrong reasons..I wouldn't be surprised if it was her lol

It certainly isn't fair to attack the woman in this situation but I can't say it's fair to attack the doctor either. A part of me wonders if these two people got married and lived happily ever after, would he still be working for dr Garcia. Or if she would feel like she was preyed upon on whatever.

I think the lesson here for the doctor or any professional is don't s h ! t where you eat. And for the ladies, no one would buy a cow that already gives them free milk.

Some ppl are not missing the point. They only disagreeing with the severity of Dr. Luna punishment. I bet they fire less doctors for medical mistakes that endangered or killed patients.

Exactly to fire him because these women decided to contact dr. Garcia directly..god only knows what they told him.

What I want to know is when the OP retracted her story why 2 women on here continue to ask why is she lying like she wasn't lying before. The OP stated she is bipolar.

I know someone who is bipolar and she makes up these outrageous stories about her family and friends to get people to feel sorry for her. I'm imagining that the OP is the same way.

Shame on the women still defending her actions just because a "man" scorned her. She said nothing happened after all so why are you still saying it did? Did he not hit on you and it hurt your feelings?

Just like she made the choice, HE made the choice. He just had a lot more to lose. It's bizarre to me that they were both equally responsible for this nonsense yet you feel that HE is the victim. Did he really think that no one would ever turn on him? That's quite egotistical IMHO.

He was just as wrong as she was and he should have kept it in his pants. That's the bottom line.

im bi polar and I don't go around telling story's to get attention. Bi polar is a mood disorder. It doesn't cause people to make up outrageous stories or purposely ruin people's life. Shame on you to say that just because you know one person who has bi polar.

Hello she said she lied about the incident so why are you still talking like she didn't?

I didn't say all bipolar people do. Just the girl on here who made up the story and the girl I was talking about.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...
