Anyone have the surgery in Mexico? Dr. G. Alvarez?

I'm considering having the surgery in Mexico. There are so many Dr.'s there doing the procedure, it's hard to decide how to choose. Can anyone who's had the surgery there give me some ideas as to what to look for to stay safe. I'm a Nurse, but my insurance won't pay for the surgery, so Mexico has to be an option.

I went to dr Corvala, he was great and so was his team. I was on my own and was thankful to be in the hospital for 3 nights. I could have stayed longer but opted to head to a hotel for a night before catching my flight home. The only "issue" I had was not speaking Spanish. Many of the nurses do not speak English, particularly at night. Can hardly call this an issue though!

I went to Dr. Alvarez and he and his staff were wonderful! This was the easiest pain recovery from any surgery I have had...no gas pain. Let me know if you have any questions!

BTW: At no point did I feel unsafe in Mexico In Piedra Negras. They really take good care of you! Dr. Alvarez personally emails you for weeks after the surgery and will answer any personal emails anytime you have questions. You would be singing his praises!
