Hi all,

I would like to consider this get together. Am I invited even though I haven't been banded? I have my date with the surgeon on Jan. 10th and have been working hard through this since August. I come from Cape Cod but would consider Braintree Mall because I think I know how to get there and I don't know how to get to too many places. And, the 13th is OK with me. If you agree that I can come, I think I could learn a lot from the girls I have been following since Aug.:phanvan Nana

Everyone's invited !!!! Band or no band, we are all here to support each other. This should be fun!!

So..........are we all ok with Saturday, Jan13th? What time do people want to meet? How about Joe's American Bar and Grill at the South Shore Plaza??

I would love that...anytime is good for me as well. Does anyone have a time that is best for them? If possible, I would love to meet before the lunch rush gets to be too much. What do you all think?

I'll check with DH tonight and see if he'll watch the little ones that day. You know men, they usually hate to babysit. If he says yes, I'm in. Thanks aaamom for setting this up, it should be fun.

I haven't been participating in this chat, but I've been reading what you've written (the banding stalker:) ) I'd like to come to your get together. I was banded on June 6, 2006 at Emerson Hospital in Concord. Hope to see you Jan. 13.

Awesome!!! I will be there and will be bringing Sherry W with me as well. I'll also send Diva a note, since she may want to come as well. This will be great! Thanks aaamom for finally getting our butts into gear!

So....are we going to meet out front first? How are we going to recognize each other?

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
