I was so happy when I could drink Water again! The funny thing is now it's all I drink. Lol. Once in a while I'll have a crystal light but I really like to limit the sugar substitutes.

It is really strange how all of us are different. I can drink Water from any source, tap, bottled, Dasani, Aquafina etc. Doesn't matter, plain or ice cold. Water is good and really good for you and to me, tastes like water :) . One thing to note about bottled waters, Dasani has a higher level of sodium than some of the others. It is something that Coca Cola does for some strange reason to make the taste consistent from bottler to bottler. if you are watching your sodium intake or have HBP issues, it would be something to consider.

I can't drink plain cold Water at all. I can drink cold water with crystal light or room temp plain water.

I can drink Water again after 3 months out. but still can't drink it fast or it hurts. water has high surface tension so it can build up like a column in the sleeve. that's why burps help to shake it up and move it along. warmer water has lower tension so it can be easier. adding things to it lowers the tension too. I can drink it now but mostly I drink watered down diet snapple ice tea most of the time. I dilute it and add ice to lower the sweetness.

I am a week and a half post op.... I have always been a Water chugger. I was so worried that when I had surgery I would have problems. After the first week I noticed my sips becoming bigger and bigger. I am not chugging but am able to take large swallows with no problems.

I am fearful that it is going to cause a problem with the incision line.

I trying really hard to be aware of what is m doing so I stop. In the meantime anyone know of any problems besides vomit (which I have not) from to big of sips.

If it doesn't cause you any kind of pain or discomfort, it is probably just passing right on through. I am the same way. I am 4 weeks post op today and can put down a 16 oz. bottle of Water in just a few minutes.

I worried about the taste/tolerance of water because I intensely dislike artificially sweetened anything, but thankfully it has not been an issue. I did find that higher alkaline water goes down much easier though. Zephyr Hills bottled brand is good. Just bought a home system that purifies/mineralizes, because my tap water is very acidic.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
