It could happen sooner than you think!!

I'm NOWHERE NEAR my goal, but I already move around soooo much better. I've lost about 70lbs since I started with pre-op stuff and I already notice a major improvement! I don't have to struggle to get up anymore. Yesterday I went shopping all day, while wearing TERRIBLE shoes for walking, and had zero pain, wasn't tired at the end of the day and wasn't constantly looking for somewhere to sit down!! I can't wait for it to get better as I lose more and more! :)

Hang in there, everyone! You can start to reap the rewards of weight loss well before you get to your goal! Good luck!

1 .cross my legs gracefully (not like two hams are wrestling)

2. Walk in stilettos for longer than 10 minutes

3.play with my grand kids and not be winded.

4.wear a bathing suit a little more revealing.

5.go up a few flight of stairs and glisten instead of sweating bullets

6.sit where ever I feel like it and not worry if I will fit

7. Stand next to my hubby for a photo and him not look like a floating head over my shoulder.

I have so much more but this is a start lol

I LOVE this list. I can't wait to do all these things. I hate going to the mall and sitting on a bench to watch my kiddo play in the play area. I am such a kid myself. I wanna play too!!

And the dresses! I HATE going to church now. For no reason other than all I have are long maxi dresses, because all of my cute short skirts don't fit. And I refuse to buy more clothes at this size. :(

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
