I remember they tried to give me some liquid Lortab before they released me from the hospital...I couldn't get that stuff down; I think I would have to be in some awful pain to use that, and I've had to drink some pretty horrible stuff for other tests and such

I'm doing well. Getting adjusted to my new life. Learning what my new full is and the warning signs if any. How are you doing?

I am struggling a little with pain and nausea. I am scared to death to put anything in my mouth. Reading everyone's that is far out post op writing about this time being a vague memory helps :-). I called the md office today and told them I feel worse than I did the day I left the hospital. I think I need to drink more... It's scary for me though...

Sleeved 6-4. Two day hospitalization surrounded by NICE folks with lots of experience in bariatrics. I am a lucky one, no nausea at all. Some discomfort and will continue to take pain Rx. Working to get fluids and Proteins up in the next 2 weeks. All in all doing well!

This is one of those things you just have muscle through. Theres no trick to make it easier. Get extra sleep if you can and stay away from the TV.

Feeling a little better this morning took a pretty long walk, made my son breakfast, did dishes etc then took another nap ;-) I definitely have kept the tv off pretty much. I've been out to my garden a couple times to to yank a weed or two. I have only gotten three milkshakes down since coming home. I'm going to try to get another one in this afternoon. Each day is a little better, I am just looking to be better right now :-)

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
