Freakin' blender balls!

Recommended Posts

Hand washing would be good for one, but I've got four everyday to wash, sometimes more on top of the other dishes, so I shove everything in the dishwasher after loosening any crusty stuff on the lid by running a knife around the edge. Unfortunately, my silverware section is too narrow to fit the balls in and I don't have the other baskets since I'm the second owner of the dishwasher. They don't even have to get to the dishwasher though- 3 or 4 blender bottles taken apart in the sink dishwater, I've reached in to find 2 blender balls entwined like someone spent time twisting them together! When it happens a few times it's fine, but over the course of a year it gets soooo annoying. We'll have even more blender bottles soon with me having my surgery this June- my husband had his last July. Oh well, at least we know we're getting our Protein in! Thanks for the advice!

I put them in the dishwasher top rack and I stick them on the rack as in the put the rack peg through the whole in the blender ball they stay put and don't get caught. I had one get caught and then I started doing this.

I would make fiddleman wash his own balls..

LOL - I know, right!? Ah well, after surgery he'll get to do everything for a while, so that thought brings me joy. ;)

Thanks for this idea- I will look for one. No babies for me yet so don't have any on hand. Actually, that's one of the reasons for me having surgery- 3 years of trying and no babies and after researching options I realised that I was too heavy for most IVF and adoption foundations to approve me!

You know sometimes they are like low hanging fruit. (The set up for jokes not your B balls)

And you just gotta grab em! :P

I still use the basket that my sons bottle nipples went in. He still uses sippy cups so I still use it for those too but I throw the blender ball in there too. If you are really frustrated, I would say go check it out in the baby isle as I'm sure it's not more than 10 or 15 dollars.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
