SC Southern Sleevers?

I walked on a treadmill with a breathing apparatus for about 15 - 20 minutes. I blew some breaths in a tube when they said to about 10 times. Then they wrote me a letter and that was it. No pain involved. Go get it done!

You went to Carolina Pulmonary right across the hall from Riverside??

I actually had mine done right across the hall from Riverside Surgical - it was pretty easy. Just breathing measurements, etc - though I will say that particular office was the least friendly that I dealt with. I had to get a cardiac clearance also and that one was a little tougher - I had to get all my testing and everything done before they submitted my paperwork to my insurance. Hang in there, girl and do whatever they want - it's worth it!

I hope it's not to bad. They told me I had a date back in August that I was a no show for...but I don't remember it. So now I have to wait until the 29th for the pulmonary clearance appointment. Then I will get a surgery date. I guess im February sometime!! I can live with that. Just gives me time to get my $$ together!!

I had my surgery at MUSC in Charleston because I had auto-immune conditions involved. But got it done and made it to goal in less than five months. I am below goal now... I am happy I got it done!

I will do that...I am 11 mos out best decision I've ever made! I had the pleasure of having my surgery in Mexico since my insurance would not cover it I must say that I was a little hesitate but it was a great experience, I was never alone! I am 80lbs down now thought I would be at 100 by Feb 18th but I am more than satisfied with my progress.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
