Madigan Hospital post-op diet

I have a surgery date for July 2nd. I met with my surgeon today, but we didn't get into very many details. Can anyone tell me what to expect post-op. I am especially interested in diet because I'd like to prepare some things for the freezer. If it makes a difference, it is with Dr. Carter. Thanks!

It will all depend on your surgeons instructions. Everyone is different.

For 2 weeks post I could have broth. Strained cream soups, popcicles, water, crystal lite or s.f. Drink mix, strained yogurt..no chunks and my protein drinks.

Check with the surgeons office to see if there is a nut you could meet with

Thanks Mousemom. This is all happening pretty quickly. I saw the surgeon for the first time today. I was expecting a long process, but found myself walking out of the hospital with a surgery date 5 weeks out. I have a pre-op appointment one week before surgery where I will find out more information. As a planner, I'd like to have some of this figured out earlier. I guess I should call the office tomorrow and see if I can get a bit more information.
