thinning and loss of hair

I had my gastric sleeve done on Feb 18th, 2013. I am 57 lbs down and I feel great. But, I am having one problem. My hair has always been thin and now it's even thinner. Everytime I comb or brush it was my hair I loss quite a bit daily. I'm eating and drinking my protein. I'm taking my vitamins and I've added 2000 mcg of Biotin daily. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I think that you are doing all that you can. I too have fine hair and have lost enough for me to notice. I have taken biotin everyday since surgery and take all my vitamins and consume enough protein daily. I don't think that there is anything more that we can do, well except maybe buy a wig!!

My hair was very thick, and in spite of crazy Protein intake and Biotin supplements, I experienced thinning hair. However, it finally stopped and it has grown back. At the time it was a major crisis - It's just a fuzzy memory now.

Just give it time, it will right itself.

I also have fine, thin hair. It is now falling out by the truckload! Hate it, but hopefully won't last forever. I'll live with it on account of my 70lb weight loss. :D

I lost all of my hair during chemo and it all came back. Then sleeving and it got thin again. I am not sure that it will get better as I am 64 and many on my mother's side were balding. I have very little grey however.

My hair has been falling out for 2 months now and still is. When I watch my protein and make sure I get it all in I notice a little less hair loss 70 grams protein.
