Hi all, I need some motivation/suggestions.
I was sleeved 4/1 and I've been pretty successful, in my opinion. I've lost a total of about 50 pounds. The problem I've been encountering is this: it's really painful for me to exercise. I have a pinched nerve in my hip. Anyone who has one, knows what kind of pain this is. it seriously feels like a knife is tearing through your hip every time you take a step. It's caused by all of this excess weight I'm currently carrying. Everyone I have seen have said that once the weight comes off, it should heal on its own. Walking for more than 15 minutes starts to irritate it and I'm left limping back home because I can't tolerate the pain. I tried pushing through the pain once and I walked for an hour. Needless to say, I was miserable for a week afterwards. Every step was excruciating. There are meds I can take (Celebrex) that helps with the inflammation however I'm weary of taking meds since my stomach is so small now and there's less acid to break down the capsule. My doctor said to take it in case of emergency. My question is: what kind of exercise can you suggest? I know this is a tough question to answer but I need help. If I'm home, I usually have some weights to work out my arms and occasionally, I swim since the Water keeps the pressure off of my hips. I can't swim everyday though. What do you think? Does anyone else have a similar problem? I want to speed up this weight loss as much as possible and I'm really REALLY concerned about excess skin. Thanks in advance
