I don't believe a shampoo can help grow hair only change the texture of the hair that is already there because hair is dead. I've yo yo dieted forever and always lose hair when I'm losing the most weight. While getting ready to be sleeved, I added a Calcium Magnesium Zinc w Vit D vitamin to my already multi-vitamin prenatal routine and it was crazy, my hair actually started growing in better. I'm taking the Nature Made ones now.

I just made sure I was getting in my protein and vitamins. I took biotin and used nioxin shampoo, they both helped speed up the regrowth process. Hair loss will happen but I promise it will grow back.

No shampoo will create hair Growth. Stress (surgery) can cause your hair cycle to go into the shedding stage (telogen effluvium). It take quite a while and stability and adequate nutrition to grow it back in. Protein, rest, water & vitamins!
