I just started drinking Isopure a couple days ago. It took me 12 hours to finish the bottle - I'm 10 days post op. The Alpine Punch and pineapple Orange banana is really good! I really like the amount of Protein in them and you get a third of your Fluid intake, even if it takes all day!

^ those Protein shots are not made of quality Protein. They are made with collagen and not whey. Your body does not process collagen the same way as whey isolate and will flush it through. Don't waste your money.

Go with powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury (unjury.com) or Syntrax's nectar sweets (vitacost.com or vitaminshoppe) they are smooth and palatable and easy to mix with yogurts, cottage cheese, Water, milk, kefir, pudding...

I could not tolerate the Isopure either.... Until they suggested that I mix it with Water 3:1 ratio - water:isopure... It really helps...

I love Isopure. I drink one a day. I stick to grape and coconut the most. Yes the do smeel bad just dont smell them. Any type of Protein Drink is going to smell bad. if you can drink them for a few days the after taste will start to go away.

I live on those Isopures. Get the grape or peAch mango. Pour half into a 20 ounce plus sport bottle and top off with ice and Water. You will get over 40 ounces of fluids and 40 grams of Protein. Took a while after surgery to stomach them. Cyclosport has some as well that are pretty good and a bit cheaper.

I lived on the Syntrax shakes for the first few weeks, and they're still my go-to 8 weeks out if I need a protein boost. Love the Roadside Lemonade with 16 oz of Water and ice!!

LOL, I don't like Isopure either! But yesterday I bought a bottle of Icy Orange flavor, mixing it with some V8 tropical something or other and Water. It almost tastes like an orange creamsicle. Or maybe I'm just getting desperate. ;) It still leaves a nasty film in my mouth though...

My doc recommends 40-50 gr of Protein per day, so as long as I finish one/day, I'm good. But even then, I don't worry about. This early post-op, I drink as much as I can, stay as hydrated as I can, and choose to not stress over a few grams here or there.

I bought those and after I opened the first bottle and tried to drink it I poured it out and took all the rest back to GNC

Some people really... and I mean REALLY like it. From my experience (both personal and with others) many go with unjury or to vitacost for Syntrax's nectar.

I wasn't too fond of the nectar juices but I will try them again now, that I am post op. I do still enjoy the Nectar chocolate Truffle, vanilla bean torte, and strawberry mousse

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
