I had my surgery May 7. I too had a much harder time after surgery than I expected. Pain and nauseous. Dry heaving is not fun. Feel so much better now. Struggling with drinking Isopure. I'm not hungry at all. Congratulations to all of you!

sorry to hear about the pain and nausea some are experiencing...I think the gas is expected...I was sleeved May 6 and most of the gas is gone now...my biggest challenge so far has been getting in enough liquids and protein...I also second what some others have said....thank God for the IV pain pump

I came home yesterday evening. I live in Plano, TX. Recovery has been ok. I am still taking pain meds pretty regularly. I really start hurting when it wears off. I walked quite a bit today (until big storm came in). That has helped some. Trying to get all liquids in is difficult. I haven't been that hungry either. How are you doing? Where do you live?

I'm in Philadelphia. I haven't been able to get liquids in. I'm not allowed Protein until Moday only Clear Liquids until then. I also haven't pooped yet but I guess I'm probably empty since I've only been drinking clear liquids for last three weeks.

Surgery on the 8th. Came home yesterday. The gas is greatly subsided but I am having lots of trouble getting in any fluids. I mean 2-3 sips of Water and I can feel my stomach cramping. I am on clear liquids till tomorrow then I can start yogurt, pudding, creamy Soups and the Protein Shakes but not sure I'll be able to get anything down. Hope this smoothes out soon.

I had the same problem yesterday w getting my fluids in, everytime I'd take a sip I could feel my tummy cramp. SF Jello and warm herbal tea seem to go down better. The cramping is much improved today already & I've been able to finish a 16.9 oz bottle of G2 w relative ease. I hope the same for you.

Sounds like your on track!

I'm doing ok. I'm still in hospital but hope to come home today.

I'm not on any pain meds but totally understand why you need them. I'm still pretty sore myself but I really think the walking helps.

I'm not hungry either! It's so weird not to have that constant nagging all the time!

I'm in Melbourne Australia.

So when I'm home ill be on liquid until Tuesday then I'm onto puréed foods. Scary!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
