  2. Young lady take a deep breath.. Sometimes the strength that you need comes from the people here. You must stay mentally STRONG and I love gambling so get that money. For those who don't believe ,that should MOTIVATE you even more. Remember time heals all wounds. Had my surgery May 6 and the first 2weeks are rough! But it's ok, life is not all was easy but live with the decisions that you made for YOU! As far as the foods that you see others eat believe your stomach can't hold it.. Take Care

  12. WOW can't believe I'm done! The first two days at the hospital was rough thank god for IV pain medicine. Came home today and I feel wonderful mentally and physically. Wife and I went in as a team and battle the Nausea and pain. Of course she is sleep but who cares just glad we had no leaks. Dr. Kim one hell of a job. Now if I can just stay hydrated. Cabo San Lucas in July..

  14. I refuse to tell anyone on my side of the family because my Grandmother, Mother, and Brothers would talk me out of it. They will just have to say wow your losing weight and looking healthier. Then I may mention it. Only my wife's side and 3 Co-workers know. But I know it's for the best

  17. I am glad that all I have to do is a week of the pre-op diet.. First two days were easy day three was tough. Now I'm on day four and I'm handling it a lot better. Surgery for me and my wife is May 6, we are almost there. It's easier when you have someone to lean on. I hope and pray that it is worth it. I've lost 10lbs so far on the liquid protein diet.
  18. Has anyone ever used DR.Kim? Wife and I are doing this surgery on May 6. was nervous and scared now I'm very excited about this change that's about to come.. Started the Pre-Op on Monday with the protein shakes, which I think are pretty good especially the Chocolate flavor. Quit some of my bad habits and now that day two is gone will continue striving and praying for good things dealing with the upcoming surgery. Even though my twin 9 yr old boys tease me about what I can't have I laugh because those things that i cant have anymore like sodas, fast foods and lack of exercising is the reason I am where I am. I just don't want to lose my mental strength, which has carried through out my life. I just hope that I am the same on the inside as I was prior to this process. MAY 6 is a very important day and I pray that all goes well with me and everyone getting theses procedures. I never have used a support group for anything but this support group I am glad to be a part of. Pray for me and my wife that this life changing experience does what it should and that is to make us healthy
  19. I start my pre-op diet this week also surgery is May 6. I'm not really hungry but its still early.. Good luck
  20. I am a May Sleever my self. We both will have it done on May 6. I wish i was as excited as you are but we will see after the protein shakes begin on Monday. Good Luck!
  21. Thanks Guys I never thought in a million years that I would need a support group but reading the before and after post is very uplifting and informational.
  22. My surgery is schedule for May 6. Very nervous about the mental aspects after the surgery. Doing this with my wife hope all goes well. I will be starting my protein shakes on April 29 wish me luck.
