If it helps any, it is completely normal! I am one month post op on Wednesday and that burning pain just finally stopped. There is a stitch in there to your muscle which causes all the pain. My stitch finally popped last night unlike most whose pop within 2 weeks! I am so glad that today was first day without that pain. I have one month appt tomorrow n glad to b down 37 lbs from surgery day! Good luck n hope your stitch pops sooner then mine' n u can continue on with your new life!

This is normal. I would still ask to be safe. My doctor put a stitch in my biggest incision that attached to my muscle. It was an awful pulling feeling that last 17 days. The stitch finally dissolved and I felt a pop. The pain went away immediately.

Thank you so much! I have had horrible thoughts of that I've done something wrong..haha. This really makes me feel better and I can't wait for my day 17! Does the "pop" hurt?

I felt more of a release and then the pain was gone. It didn't hurt at all.

I am 3 weeks out. Today I sneezed and felt no pain. What the heck? Just a lucky sneeze I thought. Then layed down to take a nap and layed on my side with no pain. My stitch must have popped. I didn't feel it. I sure am glad. Now I have no pain at all.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
