I got sleeved June 12, I'm praying these two weeks of liquids goes by fast. I'm amazed at the pounds I'm dropping. Starting weight 241, day of surgery 233, today @ 224. Gas pains are still uncomfortable but better. Each day does get better. I'm having so much trouble getting Water in, I don't want to get dehydrated. But seems like each time I swallow anything, I can feel more gas build up and a lot of pressure over the main incision on my right side. May everyone have a speedy recovery!!!

Today is day 5 of 13 of my pre op diet...I have never reached the "not hungry" state and each evening the hunger is intense. But I'm doing it (never thought I'd be successful!). And I'm seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.... Down 4 pounds so far. I hope that number rises to at least 10 by June 25th!

Hey Busterdoodoo' date=' I'm the 25th too! I start preop diet tomorrow but my Dr just requires high Protein. Are you ready for our big day?[/quote']

I am very ready!! Was nervous about a month ago but now it's just excitement. To stay busy this week so im not focused on hunger, i will clean one room thoroughly each night and finish up some yardwork. If i stay busy i do better. So i set out a schedule of something to do each day until surgery. What about you?

I know exactly how you feel. I'm 6 days out and was going to return to work on Wednesday. There's no way, I told my boss I'd be another week. I feel very alienated right now and not my usually spunky self. My guess is because of being on just liquids. It's hard to watch other people sit around and eat and be full of energy. I'm exhausted and tired of liquids. I imagine we'll feel better once we are on normal foods. I think everyone goes through this in the beginning. Right??

I am 5 days out and feel the same as you do.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
