June 3rd here. This last month has flown by...only 2 weeks to go. I go on May 28 for final pre-op testing. I'm not nervous about surgery, just nervous about after surgery. Will I be able to stick with this. I'm 51 and been obese since I was 10 years old. Wondering what will happen when I lose the 120 lbs. I know I can do it, just scared.

I understand where you are coming from. I have always been over weight. I'm 54 and praying I can change my eating habits! Good luck to you.

Sleep studies are not that big of deal' date=' yes u will not be in your own bed but the bedroom should be set up like a hotel room to make u feel more at home, yes u will have alot of wires hooked to u but u will survive i promise plus im guessing u dont have a choice but to have study

Sent from my iPhone using VST[/quote']

You are right that it's not that big of a deal but I still couldn't wait until it was over; I was so uncomfortable...far from a night at a hotel for me

I really didn't know what happened, first time I'm posting, sorry! I have looked at stories for months and finally decided to post something of my own! I got my surgery date finalized today. I'm both ecstatic and terrified, but I am sure that this is the best decision of my life. MY DATE IS JUNE 10. I cant wait to be on the losers bench

Hoping to be approved and sleeved by the last week of June. Final appointment with surgeon is Thursday and then they'll submit to insurance. Hoping for a fast approval so I can get my 2-week pre op diet underway. Best of luck to you!!

June 17th for me - lapband revision. I should be excited but I'm not - after failure with the band, just hoping to find something that works for me.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
