Well we made it through.. We talked this morning about what happened he was mad because I was "hiding" and I was mad because I wanted to eat a chocolate Easter egg that his mother gave me from Sees that's still sitting on the cupboard.

He said he will take care of that egg for me this weekend :) I was actually hungry! When I went to bed with my stomach growling! I think I didn't get enough to eat yesterday, it was hard to track my intake yesterday so I always round way up on things if its not precise. And my calories still came out under 800.. But it was late and I knew eating wouldn't be good.

Well today's a new day!

Oh...but he just told me that he promised the kids last night that we would go out to Dim Sum for brunch today O_0 Lordy I'm in trouble now!

Did I mention that they eat? They eat all day, and they eat copious amounts of food.

I'm glad you and the hubby weathered the storm and talked through it. I had a recent similar experience....

My hubby and I were grocery shopping the other day and he went to the bakery and bought 3 decorative sugar Cookies for him and the kids... I was PMSing and gave him hell in the store, and walked off. I don't even LIKE sugar cookies!!!

He put them back and I told him to buy them. I apologized and explained, in my case, it was displaced anger.

Displaced anger or not, it's real and powerful... Good luck.

If you were hungry a little nibble wouldn't have hurt why don't you cycle your calories if you know you're going to be hungry later on at night maybe try a salad or lots of veggies for lunch which are low cal and you'll be good to go for dinner just a thought. Eating with my family is still a big part of my life and I really enjoy participating. Isolating yourself because you're not eating a pork bun isn't worth the mental anguish my 2 cents

Well I hope your happy.. To pay my penance today, I went out with them to Dim Sum.

I would not eat a pork bun though :P

First thing that came to my mind was he's lucky it wasn't a cast Iron frying pan :)

Good job fighting the food beast though

*sigh* Some days certainly are worse than others. I'm not sure which is more difficult.....being around people who are eating, or being left home alone with access to whatever. Both are difficult for me, but I'm a closet eater, so being along is probably more of a struggle. I understand where you are coming from.

Yes!! I thought about that today! Last night when I was in the cupboards I was "sneaking"

If I had got that chocolate egg I would of scurried off with it and ate it by myself...

I would of never eaten that egg in front of people,

I really need to do so much more work.

Today I ate off of "plan" but it was much more healthy in the sense that I did it in public with my family, oh and it was a really nice time.

I haven't thrown anything but I do get bitchy when my husband asks me every night if I am going to have dessert...I do sometimes save myself some extra calories for a small indulgence but not every night. My husband eats constantly and it is usually nothing good for you he agreed in the beginning to cut back as he is not as healthy as he could be but he hasn't been so some days when he ask me I go off but he understands I think ?? Lol. He told me today he is making a pact to get back on track and stay that way so we can do it together he is away right now so we shall see when he gets back...

My husband and children are fit, so this is truly only my problem :( I wonder if its harder to live with fit people that have no idea what your going through or someone overweight and still eating more than they know they should?

I just told my husband that I would of snuck that chocolate upstairs and ate it by myself.. He was like "really?" And I told him "well could you imagine me getting that and sitting down next to you and eating it?" He said "no!"

I said "you know as an healing "experiment" I should get that damn Sees egg and sit with you and eat it!!! :P

Hehehe...

Oh me too. Being alone is really hard and my hubby works nights. Seeing other people eat doesn't phase me one bit. I'm on my best behavior when people are around. When I'm alone it's a different story!

Yep, that's me, too. I actually have a hard time admitting to myself even what I've eaten. Part of my personal work is just facing that, and facing what I've eaten. I do track everything I eat, and I put it on my fitness pal for the world to see, but I really don't always want to do it! Like yesterday when I had a party, and today when I was alone all day....I'm going to bed now. I'm out of calories. And right this minute I'm really not thinking about eating, so it's time to go!

My husband is fairly fit as far as build but looking healthy isn't the same as being healthy as we know lol. He is 6'2 and 210 and he works out a lot ...He just eats like crap which gives his 36 yr old otherwise fit body a little gut that he complains about all the time which is when I tell him he is doing everything right but his diet is keeping him from the six pack he desires.I tell him it's the 6 pack(beer) or the six pack:)

Aw! He's fit and can eat a lot. That's like mine then! My husband is a hardcore mountain and road bicyclist, he "needs" to eat to not lose weight..

He LOVES exercise! How we got married and stayed married is a mystery to me :P

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
