Salt. That's an interesting theory. Will be interested in what you find out.

I had a way bad day yesterday foodwise. I was a total pig! Ate food off and on all day...mostly high sugar stuff that went down with no problem. Cannot for the life of me figure out why! Just took a vacation from my new lifestyle. I guess the first indulgence triggeed a day's worth of bad behavior! Ah well...today is a new day.

I've got two thoughts for you. Words that helped me when I was down. Don't beat yourself up--we are human. And just set your "reset" button and you are back on track. When I started gaining those pounds when I was sick, I started feeding the depression and made it worse, that's what makes me think I need that regular meeting to boost me up when I'm down. I think I better get that going before I throw away the success I've gotten. That's just me.

Betsy, those rules sound more like Dr Spiegel's rules...Right? But that book is talking about real gastric bypass, I think, I need to re-read it. Can't wait to discuss this with everyone and how it relates to our pouch. I'm at 6 months out now, so I'm real interested in this.

Yes, I'm wondering how it might be different for lap band...but I doubt if it's much different.

I may or may not be there Monday. I woke up this morning with stuffy nose, sore throat, fever. I'm keeping a good thought that it will pass quickly. Definitely not going to the gem/jewelry show today!

Betsy, I'm so sorry you're feeling bad. Please don't do like me and wait too long to see the doc. I don't want you to go through that pneumonia thing--it's rough. This will sound silly but don't forget chicken soup:) It always makes me feel better. I'll bring you some from La Villa if you'll give me a call (I hope you still have my number) and give me directions to your place--their's is deliciosa (sp?).

Aw. That's very sweet. I don't want to breathe on you, though! I'm feeling to puny to go out, but not puny enough to stay in bed, so I'm slowly cleaning the house. That's my speed for the day.....

Thanks, Lana. I'm on the mend. Will see how today goes. I don't want to infect anyone, so at this point it's a toss up whether I'll be there tonight. I'm improving well. I think it has to do with finishing my taxes yesterday.

Rule #11: Never eat stringy cooked spinach when you are super restricted from illness, no matter how good it looks. :)

Anybody want to go to the Thai restaurant just past Walgreens in Atascocita...on the way to Summerwood. It's Nara Thai and it's my favorite restaurant. I love love love their Panang, but I understand if it's not everybody's taste.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
