I just can't get them down!

Recommended Posts

I can't begin to tell everyone how many brands of Vitamins and calcium citrate I have tried (GNC, bariatric adv, Centrum and flinstone kids, wellese liquid)...And I still can't keep them down! I don't think I can move to gummies or chews considering I'm only about 1 month out. I'm doing great on Protein and b12...what do I do to get these darn vitamins and Calcium in?

When I was 2 weeks out, I started taking gummy vitamins. I made sure I chewed them up very well and have had no problems with them. For Calcium, I take the calcium chews and again I just chew them up really well. Good luck with taking your Vitamins and calcium.

Hi.... I struggled with the vitimans as well. For some reason the taste made me sick. So I made myself a deal.... I would at least take them 3 days a week. Mostly on the days I did Not feel queasy. That system worked for me. At this point I can handle centerium chewable Multi vitiman ( my nut recommended these). For the Calcium at 2 months I started the calcium chews from costco ( both chocolate and Carmel are good). Now I am able to manage to take what I need daily. For most Kaiser patients we are told to take b1, B12 (sublingual) Monday, Wednesday and Fridays. Daily we take Multi vitimans and calcium. I just had my lab work done a few weeks ago and everything was perfect.... So this system seems to work! Anyway, sorry I was long winded.... Hang in there it gets easier! Best Wishes

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
