Now I'm panicking. My surgery is in the morning. I have to be there at 6:00. But, I had no prep to do. I just can't eat after 12:00. I've been drinking Protein Shakes for a week, but no Clear Liquids or bowel prep. What if there is food in my stomach? Yuck?? Any suggestions for the night before? Good luck to all of my fellow April Sleevers!! I'll post a "Post-Op" message!

I didn't have to do a bowel prep either. With a clear liquid diet for 7 days there wasn't much to worry about.

I can't start liquids yet i did not pass my barium swallow. Nothing is going through my esophagus most likely due to swelling So I really nauseous and they will retest me today.

Oh no. I can't even imagine how frustrating that must be. My heart goes out to you.

Today I am doing a lot better, but my back is killing me. I can't figure out why that would be happening.

Also drinking things is weird.

Oh no. My heart goes out to you, that had got to be frustrating.

How is everyone else doing with their liquids? I hate the way it feels going downs so weird and gassy. They told me 1oz every 10 minutes. I'm drinking Isopure.

How are you doing now? We're only 15 days out, can't decide if it feels like more or less than that. I think more.

I know some parts of the day I feel fine and it feels like surgery was months ago. Then i eat too much or try to walk too much and i remember it's only going on the 3rd week!

Today is my birthday and Saturday is my son's birthday so we went out to eat at a buffet. I actually feel good after eating there cause they had a lot of good i could eat. I had cottage cheese chicken broth bourbon chicken and even had a treat of sugar free pudding with whipped topping! When i talk about eating all that food it probably totaled 3 tbsp!

Usually in the evening i feel pretty bad nauseous and tired but tonight I'm feeling good. How about you?

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
