I am right there with you, I have found inspiration when weighing myself, I'm down 8lbs since Tuesday so that definitely helps!

Hang in there Eressa! You will definitely make it! Eyes on the prize! p.s. Someone please remind me of this comment and the fact that I, too, will make it, when I post the same topic in about two weeks. :)

Will do! I will probably need a reminder myself. How long are you all having to stay on a full liquid diet? I know every surgeon is different but my surgeon told me 3 days clear liquid, 4 days full liquid, and then a progressive diet. Does anyone know what progressive diet means? I am guessing maybe the mushie or puree phase but not so sure!

I'm guessing what you're guessing about the puree phase, but I'd still check with the doc. We don't want to any avoidable trouble simply because we didn't ask.

I'm doing 2 day Clear liquids pre-op continued until day 3 post op. Then, 3 weeks of full liquids plus 3 weeks pureed. It'll be challenging, but I say the real work begins when the real eating begins.

My surgery is in the morning but I will make it a point to ask them before I leave the hospital what it means. I will tell my husband too just in case I forget to ask! It will be difficult but the end result is going to be awesome! I have to say that I am nervous about going back to regular food but that is why we have each other so that we can keep informed of good recipes and things that probably should be avoided.

I had my surgery April 9th and I am almost a week into full liquids and its killing me! I don't remember it being this difficult when I was banded three years ago. I'm not hungry just want to chew something.

What are some of your diets like with the full liquid? How are you doing on Water intake?

Hope everyone is well!

I also had my surgery on the 9th. I have cream of wheat slurry (very runny made with nf milk) in the mornings, lunch cream of chicken Soup and dinner Tomato Soup. I make all my Soups using nf milk. In between meals I'm slurping on a Protein drinks. I also eat sugar free pop cycles and have some Jello when I get a snack attack. I don't remember it being this difficult with the band either.. But I don't remember feeling this good after as well.

I received my sleeve on April 10th and like many of you, I'm so ready to chew something! I don't recall it being like this with my band either. I need some more full liquids/creamy Soup ideas. My full liquids are for 3 weeks and 2 weeks if pureed. Lord give me the strength!! But I'm already in love with my sleeve. Havent had a "stuck" feeling! #priceless

I was literally on the phone with my husband telling him how over the liquid phase I am when I clicked on this topic. I am really over it. My sleeve was on 4/22/13. I am really feeling good and 17 pounds down, but I need something more than liquids. I'm just hanging in there for these last few days but I totally agree. The liquid thing gets old. No fun.

Mine is preop 2 weeks - 2 Meal Replacement Protein shakes and 1 very low fat meal

postop - Clear Liquids

postop day 4 - full liquids

postop week 4 - softs

postop week 8 - at will

postop

Try some sugar free popsicles. You can chew on those. I've already gone through a box and a half and I've only been home two days.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
