Wow what a journey it has been for me! Last June i started this journey and have jumped threw sooooo many hoops. Was denied end of last year didnt have all info that insurance needed due to a coordinator not caring about her job ! Best thing happend she lost her job and i got a new coordinator that actually cared about my case! Thank u Tori! I have all my ducks finally lined up and should have no reason for denial! Bmi is over 35....2 cormorbites.... Phyc eval done... sleep study done... Egd done... And 6 months worth of documented nutritionist visits....please send good vibs my way! Thanks y'all have a good day

Omgggggggg! Grrr so called united to check status... They backed my file out.... My nutritionist didnt send in my February nut visit!!!!! Sooooo resubmit tomorrow for 3rd time !!!!! Lets get it together ladies!!!!!

I'm in the same boat I'm waiting to see any insurance will approve me! They submitted the paperwork in Monday or at least they got the packet ready and planned in sending it out Monday

      Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

        As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

        Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

        Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

      Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
