  1. Thanks girls for replying. My insurance told me I can send letters and they will review them to possibly cover it. It is a shot in the dark, but I'm going to give it a try.
  2. Has anyone's insurance excluded them from WLS, but then had it approved later? I'm in this situation with United. Need some hope, even if it's slim!!
  3. Did United cover your surgery to begin with?
  4.    WeightStruggle reacted to a post in a topic: Nosey folks!
  5. Anyone else see a Dr. in Shreveport? I'm narrowing them down now and wondering your recommendation.
  6. You look amazing! Before and after pic?
  7. When you submitted all of your doctors and your personal letters, did you collect them all from each doctor and send them in one packet? Or did each doctor submit them personally?? I'm going to have to do this as well through United.
  8. I know this was awhile ago, but I have United and WLS is excluded from my plan too. They said I could have the Dr. write a letter to appeal for coverage. I am in the process of figuring of who to send it and I want as many Dr's as I can to send something to UHC. I want to come out with guns blazing and see what happens. Anyone in my shoes?
  9. So I am new to this and am considering the sleeve. My Insurance (united) doesn't cover WLS. However, they did tell me I could have my doctor write a letter asking that it be approved. She said the chances are slim, but that it happens. When you say that you are approved, does that mean that you are in my situation or that your insurance covered it from the beginning? I really want to do it right the first time so any information would be great!!
