What are grits?

Nasty little boogers that some folks looooooveeee. I think they are foul, lol but I am a southern transplant and get laughed at for my stance on them. Hahahahah

How about making some quiches or frittatas ahead and eating for Breakfast? I know it's eggs again but somehow quiche always tastes different/better than just scrambled eggs.< /p>

Have you seen the Eggos with Protein? 8g for 2 waffles. They do have 26carbs though. But u only eat 1 right? Not the greatest but better than no Protein.< /p>

No I haven't seen the Eggos with protein yet. Thanks for letting me know about them. I like Vans organic waffles. They make gluten free varieties as well. They are more expensive but worth it cuz they taste much better in my opinion. The ricotta cheese has protein. I usually have a Protein shake as a mid-morning snack.< /p>

My Nut told me to eat lunch or dinner doods at brkgst to break up the monotony. I like warm turkey meatballs, personally.

Breakfast food idea

Mix Egg beaters & 1 egg

Turkey sausage

Onion

Any other veggies and or small amount of cheese (i like Spinach & a touch of mozzarella)

Pour mixture into small muffin pan cups (3/4 full)

Cook at 350 for 30 mins

Makes 12 small breakfast cups...

Bag 1 or 2 in ziploc bags and refrigerate.

Pop in microwave in AM for 30 sec and you're ready to go for the week

This sounds delicious and easy to have on hand. Will give it a try...thanks!

Do you like grits? I bought a Jimmy Dean turkey sausage breakfast bowl the other day for two bucks at Walmart. It will make about 4 meals for me. I emptied the contents into a freezer bag' date=' and then zapped me a small bowl...added extra cheese and a tad of mild picante sauce and it was great :)[/quote']

I tried one of the bowls this morning and it was good, but too much egg and it turned me off after a while. It's so weird cause I normally love eggs, but lately even the smell of them is turning me off.

If you're getting burnt out on something, then I can see the smell getting to you :) I think it's fairly common for people to get "egged out"

for breakfast, i have a half piece of whole grain toast with earth balance natural buttery spread and trader joes strawberry preserve & a piece of grapefruit. I got tired of eggs as well but i like to switch it up. Sometimes i will have bacon and an egg or quinoa and an egg with cheese scrambled. depends.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
