15 days post op and freezing!

I have lost 26 lbs in the last 15 days. I feel great, a little tired but I am freezing cold. I am taking my vitamins and trying to meet protein and water requirements. Lets just say I do better with protein than water. Lol! Has anyone else experienced this?

  • For me, it started in the hospital directly after surgery but I think it was fear and the drugs. They put lots of blankets on me then I was fine as long as I stayed bundled up. It really got worse aft

I started BEFORE I even had the surgery.. I think maybe for me it's a side effect of rapid weight loss. I lost quite a bit prior to surgery and my body isn't acclimated yet.

Just imagine taking a 26lb jacket off that you had been wearing a long time. I was freezing for the first two weeks.

I was always cold too. At 18 months out I'm doing much better. I still sleep with my ceiling fan on. Lol

I'm 22 mo post op and I'm still freezing. It started immediately post op so I think something about the surgery and not really the weight loss is to blame but cant't know for sure. I do know however I am freezing all the time! lol

Always freezing before surgery and worse now. I can see the new Arizona population.. Older peeps and us wls peeps :D

Walking ice cube over here too.

This has been the best side effect ever! I used to get sweaty just blow drying my hair. I don't think I've sweat at all in nearly six weeks!! I need to start exercising so I can break one! :)

I am cold all the time too... Not use to it yet. But I like not sweating all the time!!!

People look at me crazy when I walk out of the house with a hoodie on in some of the warm days we have had in Texas in the past few weeks.

I talked to my doctor about this and she said it was that our body does not have to hear up as much due to small amount if calories I'm taking in compared to before also she said my sodium intakes is way less which also heats the body. I stay cold always wearing jackets when I never wore them before
