I had one inserted after I was asleep and came out the next day. The feeling was almost a tickle sensation. No need to worry at all.

I had one once and it hurt coming out, sorry. Every since, I have dreaded the possibility of having one. Mind you I had a UTI, but that is a complication of inserting a foreign object up there. I'm not trying to scare anyone. I am just sharing my experience.

I was so juiced up on morphine I didn't care what they put in me. Plus getting up to pee is way more painful the first day or two. I was glad to have it.

I did not have one either. I did have one for my c-section 3 years ago. It didn't hurt even when they took it out. It was uncomfortable but was not painful. Not sure what the big deal is with the catheters.

I never would have known it was there. It was put in and taken out while I was under- no residual discomfort at all. I know it was there because they told me it would be.

My surgery is coming up and I'm just wondering ..

Natedinsmoor2, I had a catherer but they inserted it while I was in surgery so I didn't feel it. Don't worry it wasn't bad at all. I got it removed when I was being discharged and it didn't hurt.

They prepped my catheter when I was already under so didn't feel a thing. It's a little awkward afterwards when it comes out but it's painless.

I did! Woke up with it and thought "ahh crap!" But honestly it was nice not having to get up and go to the bathroom all the time those first 2 days, with all the Fluid they pumped in me if be getting up every 5 minutes! It wasn't at all uncomfortable, even when the nurse took it out, I didn't feel anything!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
